Lucy Di Gennaro.  Flows right off the tongue and what a smile!

The happy Di Gennaro's  Lin and Andrea.  Could there be prouder parents?

It was a short visit and you can see in Lucy's eyes that she did not want to leave all the fun!

Till next time cutie pie!!

Amanda

Amanda left the crew just 2 years ago.  Off to Cincinnati with her Patrick!!

She is another of those dear people who come into your life that you always try hang on tight to.

We are always so happy when she visits! This time she and her Patrick brought little Ella Sue.
What a cutie, what a blessing!

The Kegger!

We have never hosted a kegger before today and there has never really been a reason for it, until today!
I mean, we needed a lot of beer to choke down the fact that Graeme and Derek were heading out into the wilderness of ALASKA for good!

Friends like this come few in a lifetime! We are just happy to have had a small spit in time with them.

Here is Jerome tapping that....

Keg

Derek and his handsome face always smiling and kind!

The doggie moon

Is it possible that we have become "those people"?  You know, the ones that we mocked in our youth!  The ones who treat their dogs like people and make ridiculous excuses to take vacations?

Well, I think yes, yes we have! Although I believe in the cobweb-filled attic of my mind that this is silly, I will take any holiday I can get!!! So here it is- our night at the Willows Lodge while the kitchen floor was refinished.

I love that the hotel makes it all about the dogs.

Truman took full advantage of the doggie turndown service and got so excited he ate his treat and his sister's.

Since Talullah's treat was stolen, we let her peruse the doggie room service menu.

However, because she is accustomed to the finer things in life, none of that BS dog stuff would do!

Ahhh, much better; a nice room, crackling fire, my own bed, and the nicest glass of wine a pup could get.

This is the life!!!  I hope she enjoyed it, because her world is about to crumble in two short weeks!

Truman, so content on the cool floor...

until he found the king size bed!  Ah, to be royalty for one night!  Hope you had a great time kids, because it will be diapers, crying and formula in no time!!!

Practice makes perfect

This is Nora, and yes, she is as busy as she is cute!!!

While she was visiting us in Seattle, Andi and I thought we would try our hand at the care of a toddler.

What we learned is...  sugar makes kids follow directions!!!  Even sharing!

Also, kids eat really really slow!  One mini cupcake took like 30 minutes to get down.

When sugar fails, perhaps pampering is the way to go with some kids!

Here is Auntie Custer with Nora at her first mani!  I see lots of these in her future!  The last and most important lesson was, remember to give the toddler back to mom before the sugar rush crash!!

REWIND...

Almost a month later, I am posting about the last fun day we had with our families while they were in town.  I imagine that when the babies come there will also be some blog delays for a while.

Oh Seattle, you are so pretty.

...and you have the best brunch!  Here we all are at Salty's in West Seattle eating till we split our pants!

Nora was more interested in the view than the food... until someone gave her donuts!
So cute

Seriously, these two are too much!!!  Our sisters are "booty-licious"!

More sister love!

I realize that this is a fancy camera trick, much like the one realtors use to convince you the house is bigger than actual size; but it is how I feel.
