We're nuts for cracker!

Aunt Graeme came to meet us! We have loved her for sooooo long with out even knowing who she was. Imagine how much we adore her now that she has held us, kissed us, and loved on us!
Graeme, we are sad you live in Alaska, but we are glad that you are a part of our family!

Eme and Marlo got adopted

On September 23rd, Eme and Marlo got adopted!
In the eyes of the law, we are now a family.

Of course, we knew this to be true the moment we first dreamt of them.
To our family and friends there has never been a doubt of this family's validity,
but the pesky law saw otherwise!

Here are the girls cool, calm, and collected before their first, and hopefully last, court appearance. That is unless one of them goes into law!

We stood before Judge Yu while she reaffirmed that this was merely a formality, that our family started the day Andi and I met!

You could really feel the love in the courtroom!
Judge Yu was phenomenal!
We could not have asked for a better ceremony.
I say ceremony because that is what it felt like, not cold like a court hearing.

As the matriarch of the Wiersch family, it was only fitting that Mema hold Emerson, named after her great-grandfather.

So many kind words were shared by our family and friends.
Andi and I also had a chance to address each other.

Here we are... the whole gang.
And in a very "Oprah" fashion we even skyped in Auntie Val.
The only things missing were the grandparents and rest of our extended families!
SAD!

Yeah! We are Wierch's now too!

Oh momma, my momma!

Mema consoling a very tired little one!

Thanks to all who joined us on this very special day!
Your love and support mean so much to us.
We are really so very very fortunate and blessed to have you all.
The families we were born into and the friends who have become our family are more than we could have wished for!
Eme and Marlo are so lucky!!!
