Happy Birthdays

"Happy day, or maybe not, for our godfather!!"
"We love you and can not wait to see you."
"We also did some research and thought you should click here."

"Lets not forget our beautiful Auntie Ty!"
"She is coming to see us soon with Great Auntie Jodie and MAX!!"

"We hope all your dreams come true this year!"
and we hope you are wishing to give us presents and kisses!

sibling rivalry part 2

Before her nap Eme likes to curl up with a good book!

This time she chose a book about our current president

"Mama, I can really get behind Obama"

I need to make sure I am up to date on current events.
Take that Marlo!

sibling rivalry

Now that we have the crib set up in the girls' room, they enjoy their quiet time alone!

"Hey Marlo, what 'cha doin'?"

"nothing mama... just chillin' with my monkey"

"okay, well the truth is I was reading."
" I want to get all the answers next time we have learning time"

"... um, can I get back to business mom?"
"I only have a small window before Eme gets up from her nap."

"now, let's see, how do I Google?"

"Got it!!"
"Sooo glad I have this laptop."
"Now I will have a leg up on the competition!"
"Game on, Eme!"

Learning is fun

We decided to start cracking the whip at the de la Calle home.
No more slacker babies.
We are going to do some learning!
No child left behind right?
Eme was a little sceptical about this whole learning thing!
Marlo says "this sounds great!"

They both listen attentively to the instructions, with a time out for some toe tickling!

Let's begin. Marlo this is a squirrel. "Okay, got it, a squirrel"

Eme, this is a butterfly. "I hope I can remember that, it's a long word, butterfly."

Now for the test.
What was the animal we just saw? Marlo says "Let me think.... Hmmmm"

"Mama, I know! I know! Its a butterfly!!!" says Eme.
Marlo is looking a bit disappointed she did not get the answer first! Rats!

"Enough learning time, let's have recess moms!"

fashionista

I truly think Stacy London would be very proud of Eme.
She knows already at 7 weeks what not to wear.

Fashion DO!
note the cool, calm, collected look of this baby

Fashion DON'T!
note how upset she is in this picture
The cat eye is not for everyone!
