I turn my back for a minute and...

these two hooligans were at it again!

This time with a whole tube of hand cream.
This twosome's obsessed with lotions and potions!

 At least they're sharing

Just look at the joy in that little face!

Umm, I think we're all out

Mama, how do I look?

Ridiculous clean up and a big red rash, but who could stay mad at this face?!?!!

rainy day fun

Sometimes, what seems like a good idea at first morphs into a really, really bad idea;
and then back to being a fantastic idea;
and finally, a favorite memory!
The goal was to lay down the splat mat and let them fingerpaint on paper with a bit of colored shaving cream.
Easy clean up and less of a mess than plain pain. And way less messy than colored cool whip!

It looked promising at the start.
Mind you, this activity was in no way endorsed by Andi.
In fact, when she found out what I was doing, there was a lot of eye-rolling and heavy sighing.

This is when things started to go south.
A little too much cream and two very enthusiastic toddlers = two girls covered in mess!!

Then I decided that, well, the cream was just getting in the way, and we went wild with just paint!

The omission of the cream came too late... the damage was done!

Get me outta this diaper, Momma!

Quick, strike a pose!
Not even a mess will keep this little chicken from looking camera-ready!

Was this messy?  YES
Was it fun?  TONS!!
Was it worth the time it took andi to clean up?  DEFINITELY
Will we do it again?  HECK YEAH!
The laughter from the girls and their mommas could probably be heard all the way in Chicago!
because we were skyping

Wild Beasts!!

On some days, the only thing left to do with a pair of wild beasts is take them to the zoo.
Or as Marlo calls it "da you".
Every time we drive by she screams "YEAH mommy! da you, peeeeeeas?"

"Hey Mr. Gorilla, watch me dance"

"here are some of my Dangerous ninja moves"
 WATCH IT, MONKEYS!!

Poor Guys. all they want is some peace and quiet and well, here we are AGAIN, in all our beastly glory!

They love it there, and I love that they love it!

As seen on T.V.

For weeks I had been telling Marlo that we would be going to see Elmo at his house,
in hopes that when we saw this show she did not totally freak out.
So here we are at Elmo's house...
the Tacoma Dome.

There was singing, dancing, laughing, faces of disbelief, wonder, and, I'm not gonna lie, a tinch of fear.

Please note that Marlo's face did not chance for the whole performance.
Luckily, I know she was not scarred, because she wakes up every morning and screams for ELMOOOOO! ELMO, ELMO, ELMO, YAY!!
